U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach

COMMITTED TO PEOPLE Klinikum Ansbach and Klinik Rothenburg are, together with the hospitals of Dinkelsbühl and Feuchtwangen, part of the clinical center network of the district of Ansbach as well as they support the host nation provider network around military treatment facili- ties. Highly educated professionals who provide excellent medical services will do anything to make U.S. patients and their families feel at home. At the Klinikum Ansbach, more than 20 specialized clinics provide all the care of a larger district hospital. Besides an internal medici- ne and surgical department as well as an obstetrician and birthing center, you will find specialized care such as a children’s ward, a neurological ward with the ability to treat stroke patients in a timely manner at a specially established stroke unit, a urological department, a dialysis ward, a palliative medicine unit as well as a unit for radiation therapy and radiation oncology for treatment of certain types of cancer. Additionally, located at the Klinikum Ansbach are certified inter- disciplinary centers for the treatment of cancer of the colon, the breast and female reproductive system. Several external specia- lists (eye, ENT, oral and maxillofacial surgeons) complement the services offered. The Klinik Rothenburg offers an extensive diagnostic and the- rapeutic range in a friendly, patient-orientated atmosphere. It is highly equipped and offers advanced medical technologies. In the radiology department CT, MRI and angiography are available apart from the conventional X-ray equipment. The endoscopy department is equipped with modern, digital video endoscopes. For non-invasive diagnostics, modern sonographic equipment – including contrast agent enhancement – for heart, vessels and internal organs is available. Stroke treatment is provided around the clock. The gynecology and obstretics department cares to about 600 women during pregnancy and during and after childbirth every year serving various options and aids such as the birthing stool, and water births. A family room provides the new dad to partici- pate in the care of the newborn. HOW TO CONSULT TRICARE is the health care program serving Uniformed Ser- vice members, retirees and their families.
