For many centuries now, salt has been considered a source of beauty and health. Due to its high salt content, the saltwater grotto has a particularly unique healing effect – ideal for the relief of allergies, colds, skin problems, rheumatic and joint disorders. What’s more: the pure and ionized air is a guarantor of beauty: It cleanses and detoxifies the body. Prickly fresh air and a slightly salty taste on your lips: The salina is a refresher for the mind – and has a healing effect. Across hawthorn bushes, the water (5 % to 9 %) trickles down, sprays on blackthorn brush- wood and thereby provides for a climate similar to that on the ocean. The salty air enters the respiratory tract – that stimulates the perfusion of the lung (and with that, the transport of oxygen to the blood). Salinas were originally used for salt mining. At a room temperature of 38 to 40°C, with an atmospheric and colorful light show and a relaxed ambience, the salina becomes an oasis of recreation! Children´s world Children fun area where the 3 – 9 year old can slide over the water in little boats, different slides and a waterfall make the children fun area a true paradise or little bathing beauties and buccaneers. Sports area The 25-m-long sports pool has a temperature of 27 °C, and can be divided into six lanes – just the perfect place for you to swim some relaxed laps and exercise. Truly daring athletes can explore new heights in the divers’ pool: From the diving board, take a plunge (one, three or five meters) down to the refreshing water, 26°C and four meters deep. Water-Climbing-Wall: 7 metres high, 3 different routes, Sauna-World Sweating has never been nicer: We have renovated and completely redesigned our Sauna World for you. Enjoy yourself in the indoor and outdoor areas – or visit our Finnish Sauna, the Organic and Eucalyptus saunas plus the Tropical Sauna. The indoor ice rink is the right place for all ice athletes around Weiden: Skate a few leisurely laps – or dart across the ice like a weasel. Ambitious ice skaters try jumps and pirouettes, couples dance on blades across the “floor” – the more leisurely enjoy a round of Bavarian curling. At Blue Devils games, the ice hockey fans from the Oberpfalz region find what they‘re looking for. On our outdoor ice rink, you can blow off steam on an area of 1,000 m 2 (50 x 20 m).
